STORE PROFILE
Owned by First Assembly of Goldsboro, NC, the mandate was to move the existing store to a new location and expand it from 3,000 to 10,000 square feet. Additionally, the client desired to add a coffee café.
A minimal number of existing fixtures were usable, so practically everything was newly constructed. The client desired to greatly expand the gift merchandise. We suggested designing a Kitchen setting and a Bedroom alcove to act as backdrops for merchandise. These two areas have become favorites for the store's visual merchandisers and steadily sell-through merchandise that is featured.
Within the first year, sales had more than doubled.
CLIENT COMMENTS
"In January 2000, with help from Merch it, we re-opened our bookstore, The Christian Soldier in a new location. Under the very capable design leadership of David Amster, took our store from its previous 3,000 square foot size to its current premier, customer-friendly 10,000 square foot location."
"Integra designed The Christian Soldier Bookstore and Café with the customer in mind. The store's modern and appealing atmosphere has received compliments from everyone who stops by. The store's easy-product-access design is a pleasure to shop as well as stock."
"I was very pleased with the expertise David Amster brought to the table. David listened to our desires and needs, then made them come alive. It was exciting to watch our thoughts being created into one of North Carolina's finest shopping experiences and to see our sales double."
