STORE PROFILE
We began talking to Greater Mt Calvary Church in 2001 but really started working on the bookstore in June of 2003. The church owned a building that was previously a car wash. The building sat directly in front of the church building, which was perfect for not only the members of the church but also for the community surrounding them.
The store is approximately 1700 square feet. The church has a Bible Institute so we had to make sure that there was plenty of space for large study books. They also wanted to make sure that there was a play area for kids and a teen area which would complement their school.
Initially they did not invest in AudioSELECT because they were not sure that it would help with their music sales but now that they have it installed they would never give it up. Future plans call for adding a second story to expand the book selection and add a coffee café.
